LFG formation is important both from an ecological and economical point of view. Assessment of the amount of the LFG formed and disposed of is dictated by sanitary regulations and sustainable economy principles. The modelling of the specific site has revealed a downward trend in the amount and quality of the gas, both as a harmful aerial emission and as a potential fuel, which is grounds for recommending flare burning. The results have practical value for the recultivation plans of the studied facility and other facilities with a similar profile.
