Recently, an opto-molecular approach for creating the localized structures in frustrated chiral nematics has been proposed, based on the photoisomerization of chiral dopant molecules. The unique dynamic revolving pattern and several static localized structures have been generated using the ultraviolet Gaussian beam at the light power of 10-100 nW only. We now perform a detailed study of the relationship between the structure and behavior of light-induced localized supramolecular patterns in frustrated chiral nematics depending on the spatio-temporal characteristics of the recording light beam.
