Considerable interest has been focused on metal oxide nanoparticles due to their potential applications in diverse fields including catalysis, magnetic recording media, or microelectronics. Various methods are now known which enable one to prepare these nanoparticles with controlled size and shape, among these methods, sonochemical treatment is one of the most promising and interesting.
