Lithium demand surges for EV batteries and energy storage; traditional extraction (evaporation, electrolysis, solvent) faces high costs, risks, and low selectivity. Sorption methods promise high-capacity, selective materials like layered double hydroxides (LDHs) with tunable porosity. This study develops Li-Al LDHs doped with Zn, Co for enhanced Li⁺ sorption. Characterized by XRD/SEM; sorbtion capacities via ion chromatography. Dynamic results: Co-doped 16.13 mg/g, Zn-doped 12.48 (vs. undoped 5.67 mg/g)
