This study focuses on the development and simulation of a Wind Turbine Emulator (WTE) to replicate real wind turbine performance under variable wind conditions. The emulator uses a DC motor controlled via a full-bridge DC-DC converter, offering improved low-speed performance and efficiency for MPPT research. Key components include mathematical modeling, PI-based speed and current control, and a controlled power supply. The system enables researchers to simulate wind variations, test MPPT algorithms, and optimize WECS performance in a cost-effective and flexible environment. Comparative analysis shows that the WTE produces nearly identical power, speed, and torque characteristics to a real wind turbine, confirming its reliability for MPPT research and wind energy system testing.
