While existing IP laws define UGC ownership, AI tools—procedural generators, chatbots, and design algorithms—blur the lines of authorship. The study examines legal uncertainties in AI-human co-creation, focusing on originality, derivative works, and ownership attribution. A case study on AI-assisted level design highlights publisher policies and potential legal precedents. The paper proposes frameworks for balancing innovation with IP protection through revised copyright policies, standardized licensing, and clear legal definitions for AI-assisted authorship.
