Gene therapy, a promising tool for cancer treatment, faces challenges due to non-selectivity of agents, which leads to ineffective treatment and side effects. To overcome this, we are developing a selective tool based on antisense oligonucleotides (ASO) targeting housekeeping genes in the presence of cancer markers. Our ASO releasing cassette, designed to selectively activate therapy in the presence of cancer markers, shows promise in targeting GFP mRNA. Overall, the developed ASO cassette holds potential as a personalized and customizable tool for cancer treatment.
