The research presents the novel Coherent Ising Machine, utilizing polarization-dependent Optoelectronic Oscillator for solving NP-hard problems, especially MaxCut, through innovative manipulation of optical polarization. Integrating an unpolarized light source, polarizers and Electro-Optic Modulator, controlled feedback Field Programmable Gate Array/Central Processing Unit, this approach embodies the unique method encoding spin states into light polarization to solve optimization problems, currently focused on Max-Cut problems. Using the Euler-Maruyama method to capture stochastic dynamics, our simulations validate the system's robustness and stability, demonstrating the effectiveness of polarization manipulation in optical computing for efficient problem-solving.
