Cell-cell communication plays a crucial role in regulating cellular activities and responses to external cues. To further this understanding, our study focuses on stimuli-responsive materials that can modulate the cellular microenvironment dynamically. Our research aims to develop safe, biocompatible coatings that can respond to pH changes and electromagnetic irradiation, releasing ions like Na+, K+, and Ca2+ to facilitate cellular communication. Our study produced multi-layered coatings combining TiO2 with 4-(4-nitrophenylazo)phenol thiacalix[4]arene films loaded with Ca2+. We analyzed the performance of these coatings using SVET technique.
