In this study, hydroxyapatite infused with amino acids and infrared sensitive polyelectrolytes are produced. The biomimetic system can serve as a drug-delivery system due to its large drug loading capacity and nanochannels for drug loading and release. This supports its potential as a material for effective drug delivery systems. The effect of infrared irradiation at constant frequency of 808nm on tetracycline release rate has been studied.
