УДК тезиса: 557.29

Aptamers are single-stranded DNA or RNA molecules that are selected with a method called systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX), which folds into 3-dimensional shapes capable of binding noncovalently to targets like proteins, small molecules, cell surface receptors and many other targets with high affinity and specificity. In this study, we aim to develop a DNA aptamer that shows high affinity and selectivity to selected targets which are cell surface proteins. Our hypothesis is to make the nucleic acids that constitute aptamers more hydrophobic and to increase the number of interactions between the target and aptamers.
