We propose an original approah to cancer treatment that involves a multifunctional DNA nanorobot capable of selective activation only upon predetermined oncomarker detection, distinguishing in this way the malignant from the healthy cells. In the course of the current we are developing the sensing module of the DNA nanorobot, capable of recognizing, unwinding and cleaving a fragment of interest of mutated KRAS mRNA.
