This paper is aimed at studying and the possibility of using gravitational batteries for storing energy obtained through renewable energy sources. Renewable energy sources, while a promising technology, are still experiencing difficulties in energy storage. In the course of this research, large and small examples of gravity installations were studied, types were describes, and conclusions were drawn on the most effective in terms of ecology and economy. Considered major projects of companies such as Energy Vault, Gravitricity, Gravity Power made it possible to draw up a decision tree, the algorithm of which allows to select the best appropriate technology for the geographical conditions of the environment and specific requests.
